23-24 Recap from our Superintendent Dr. Jenny McGown

23-24 Recap from our Superintendent Dr. Jenny McGown

Yesterday we officially closed out another school year in Klein ISD with the graduation of nearly 5,000 seniors walking across the stage at NRG Stadium! What a special day it was seeing so many young people full of joy and hope as they head into the next chapter of their lives surrounded by so many supportive family members, teachers, and friends.

As a Klein ISD educator and mom, I look back on the 23-24 school year, and I am so proud and grateful for the awesome students, engaged parents, outstanding staff members, and dedicated community members who continue to support and invest in our district.

THANK YOU, PARENTS AND FAMILIES!

I’m a firm believer that parents are our students' very first and forever teachers, and in Klein ISD, we are grateful for your partnership and support. This strong relationship is why our students are so successful and why we have a legacy of excellence in Klein ISD. It has been an absolute joy to see our parents and community members engaged at our campuses by volunteering to assist our educators in expanding the support we provide to our students. Thank you to our outstanding parents for helping our students reach their greatest potential through these essential school and home partnerships.

OUR COMMITMENT TO SAFETY

I also want to thank another incredible group of volunteers, our Klein ISD Board of Trustees, for their commitment to safety and security in our school district. We are happy to report that we now have Level 3 armed guards for our elementary schools, along with more officers in our Klein Police Department. To further safeguard our students, the Board also approved an increase in the number of certified counselors serving students at our schools.

Thanks also goes to our trustees– and of course our community– for supporting the 2022 Bond that’s made numerous safety upgrades possible in our schools. As we look to next school year, our focus on safety continues, so stay tuned for future updates on all the additional efforts Klein ISD is making to keep Klein safe for our kids and community.

TRIPLE A SUCCESS

As we begin this year’s summer break, let’s take a look back at some of the remarkable achievements that we have accomplished during the 23-24 school year together as a Klein Family.
